Ein ganz normaler Tag in der IT-Abteilung.<\/p>\n

Nachdem ich mir meine W7 Installation eine Woche vorm RTM kaputt gemacht habe, teste ich grad mal die 64bit Variante auf meinem Dell D820. Bis jetzt geht alles *g<\/p>\n

Beim Installieren der ganzen Software nehme ich „nat\u00fcrlich“ nach M\u00f6glichkeit auch immer die neuste Version.
\nAlso flugs den neusten vSphere Client gezogen uns los gehts…<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Aber wie immer -> nix ist mit los gehts:<\/p>\n

Fehler beim analysieren der datei clients.xml …<\/p>\n

Error parsing the server „SERVER IP“ „clients.xml“ file. Login will continue, contact your system administrator.
\nThe type initializer for „VirtualInfrastrcture.Utils.HttpWebRequestProxy“ threw an exception<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<UPDATE><\/strong>
\nNachdem ich am 13.07.2010 meinen Windows 2008 Server mit allen ausstehenden Updates versorgt habe, tritt der Fehler auch mit der vSphere 4u1 Version auf – bei mir hat ein Update auf die am 13.07.2010 Ver\u00f6ffentlichte Version 4.1 geholfen
\n<\/UPDATE><\/strong>
\n<UPDATE><\/strong>
\nDie neue Version des vSphere Clients<\/a> (vSphere 4u1) behebt das Problem auch endlich.
\n<\/UPDATE><\/strong><\/p>\n

Geholfen hat dies hier:
\n1. Besorg Dir eine Kopie der
\n%SystemRoot%\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727\\System.dll
\nvon einer NICHT Windows 7 Maschine auf der .NET 3.5 SP1 installiert ist.
\nDownload System.dll<\/a><\/p>\n

2. Erstelle einen Ordner auf der Windows 7 Maschine auf der der vSphere client installiert ist und kopiere die Datei aus Schritt 1. in diesen Ordner. Erstelle ein Verzeichnis „lib“ im vSphere Ordner z.B. hier:<\/p>\n

32bit: %ProgramFiles%\\VMware\\Infrastructure\\Virtual Infrastructure Client\\Launcher\\Lib
\n64bit: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\\VMware\\Infrastructure\\Virtual Infrastructure Client\\Launcher\\lib<\/p>\n

3. \u00d6ffne die %ProgramFiles%\\VMware\\Infrastructure\\Virtual Infrastructure Client\\Launcher\\VpxClient.exe.config Datei in einem Texteditor und f\u00fcge folgende Zeilen ein:<\/p>\n

3. Erstelle eine Batchdatei (z.B. „VpxClient.cmd“)\u00a0 Setze in dieser Datei die „DEVPATH environment variable“ auf den Ordner in dem sich die „neue“ System.dll befindet und starte in einer zweiten Zeile den vSphere client.<\/p>\n
